WIM Ewa Simul

WIM Ewa Harazinska will give a Simul/Lecture at RCC on April 8th at 7 pm.  There will be a $20 Entry fee for Club members, and $25 for non-members.  

WIM Ewa Harazinska started her chess journey at six years old and amassed a remarkable record of achievements, claiming five medals at the Polish Youth Chess Championships and securing podium finishes at European and World Youth Chess Championships. Noteworthy triumphs include individual silver at the European Youth Chess Championships (2015) and a bronze at the World Youth Chess Championships (2008). In addition to her national and international successes, she clinched a bronze at the Polish Women's Blitz Chess Championship (2015) and ranked 8th in the Polish Women's Chess Championship (2016). Not long after she reached a peak rating of 2310 FIDE in December 2015, Ewa obtained a full chess scholarship to study chemistry at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Johns Hopkins University and has shifted her focus to chess coaching, while still being ranked the #1 female chess player in Maryland.
